About TANITA

I’m Tanita, an Australian photographer based in Perth, Western Australia.

Specialising in business branding and retreat photography, I offer my clients an opportunity to work with a photographer renowned for bringing a warmth to their photo shoot experience that places people at ease.

While completing an Advanced Diploma of Photography my love of environmental portraiture and documentary photography emerged and led me to immerse myself in branding and retreats as a niche. I love showcasing the talent, passion and beauty of people expressing themselves as unique individuals.

Recognising the growing need for people to create their own compelling visual content led me to develop smartphone photography workshops that bridge the gap between professional expertise and accessible technology. Whether you are taking photos for business or pleasure my workshops teach composition, lighting, and editing skills that empower everyone to confidently capture their own beautiful photos.

I have grown a loyal following of clients who admire me for the professional, creative and engaging way I work with them and most definitely for the high quality imagery they can proudly display.

When I’m not searching for inspiring locations to capture my clients, I am dreaming about retreat and travel destinations. And can equally be found walking my dogs by the river and being a busy wife and Mum to my two fabulous children.

Why do I predominately work with women?

While I was studying my Advanced Diploma of Photography I noticed in the professional photography world that women were often misunderstood or disrespected by male photographers. They just didn’t understand a woman’s mental state in front of a camera or seem to care. Women weren’t treated with the respect they deserved. I’ve heard so many stories where women have had such a bad experience having photos taken that it has put them off ever doing it again!

As a women I understand the importance of self esteem and I always aim to empower and help my clients see their own beauty and strength. I believe that every woman should feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.

I embrace the power I have to instantly connect with my clients. It’s what makes me special and allows you to relax. Whether it’s a small branding shoot or big retreat I respect everyone in front of my camera.
